Sadness! We were really liking Gucci's color collections and innovative packaging (how can we forget the interesting Fall 07 Mystery Game with the hexagon palettes...).

What is it?
Iridescent color, like that found on a butterfly’s wing or a bubble, is the result of an optical phenomenon where hues of an object change color based on light interference and viewing angles. Iridescent color is not composed of pigments and is therefore sometimes called “colorless color.”
Gucci was "was captivated by the beauty of sand, the iridescence of shells and the play of light on water at different beaches around the world ." Thus, she designed a line to suit her curiosity.
The line consists of:
Photonic – Illuminating Powder Brush Face
Ombre Glacée in Chameleon – Cooling Gel Illuminator Eye Gloss
Color Fever Gloss – in Seashell (Fuchsia) and Sunray (Iridescent)
Color Fever Shine – in Desert Rose (Fuchsia) and Luminous (Iridescent)
Traceur Design –Illuminating Long-Lasting Eyeliner Soft Brush
I absolutely adore the two fuchsia lippies. I actually wore both Desert Rose (which has the consistency of a lip stain) and Seashell on my recent trip to Palm Beach. Something about tan skin and fuchsia that really makes the pucker pop! (Pics of the trip to come...)
The line is available in January 2008. Visit a counter near you and play with the iridescent hues!
