Last night I had a birthday party to attend and I decided to vamp it up a bit. I used the Royal Assets Red Lips (shades are Cardinal, an intense red with raspberry undertone; Media, an intense reddish purple; Glass Palace, a rich yellow gold). This compact is incredible - not only because of the beautiful case (gilded, antique-inspired, royal crown motif), but also because you get three colors to play with AND a lip brush all in one perfectly reliable compact! I tried to just dab the color on to my lips creating a "stain" effect as opposed to a bright crimson.
I then applied the Red Romp Tinted Lip Glass from the Antiquitease Color line.
I always blot my lips after using a red lippy and although I could have made this color very bold (due to the fact that you can mix the 3 shades however dark or light you choose), I decided to make the shade"hint of red"...
I also used some of the gold pigments on my eyes.
If you get a chance, you MUST venture into a MAC store and play with their newest collections! I urge you to splurge on the brush sets and the Royal Assets lip compacts - they come in TAN, CORAL, RED and PINK. They are super fun to play around with. Literally, the hue's are endless!
Next to try - the Royal Assets eye compacts - 6 shades in each compact!
