Eyeko For Everyone

Rejoice, Recessionistas! I have discovered the ULTIMATE drugstore find. Eyeko Beauty...the new Rimmel.

London's cutest cosmetics (their tag, not mine) are fun, flirty and fashionable. For the frugal shopper, you'll love the price point - between 3 and 5 pounds (about 5 to 9 dollars) a product! The packaging is incredibly cutesy, reminiscent of Japanese brands with a Manga twist, pink containers, girly characteture drawings and silver embroidery.

The company offers everything from delicious fruity lip balms, to bright colored polishes to 3-in-1 eye, face and highlighter creams. Ladies, I guarantee you'll find a product here that will replace one of your more costly versions...

Products to Try:

Strawberry Fat Balm - An amazing "bigger-boned" lippy and cream cheeky. This sheer shade of berry enhances natural lip color while offering exceptional moisture (like my all-time fave Labello, but less red). The satiable strawberry scent is simply an added perk! Also comes in raspberry and minty iridescent pink. 5 pounds.

Eyeko Macara - It comes in a squeeze tube as opposed to a cylinder. The formula is pretty fantastic, elongating lashes and painting them patent black. The brush is thin and tiny (I'm usually a fan of big plastic ones -- no, not that you dirty minds!) but it does the trick. It has widely dispersed bristles for evenly coated, long lashes. I did have to use my trusty tweezerman lash seperator as the mascara tended to clump a bit, but I was so impressed that the formula didn't feather or flake. It lasted all night (even after a massage AND steam)! 5 pounds.

Touch Up & Glow Highlighter - Move over Benefit's Highbeam, Eyeko's highlighter is just as pinky-iridescent for a fraction of the price. And I LOVE the pen application (just like YSL's Touche Eclat Radiant Touch). It makes application a breeze, and lets you navigate with ease and precission. Here are some tips from the Eyeko experts on application: "For a soft focus sheen brush on to brow and cheek bones to lighten and lift. For fuller lips highlight the cupids bow and wake up eyes with just a touch on the inner corners of your eyes." Love me a great multi-tasking product. 5 pounds.

Recession? What recession? Try away... no excuses, ladies!

Anyone using Eyeko products? Have a favorite we should try?

I love the Touch Up & Glow Highlighter, but my favorite product is the Eyeko Cream. It gives your face such a gorgeous glow and is infused with vitamins A, E, & C.
