Gold is the hot color of the moment. Eyes, cheeks, chest, lips... you name it, there is a product just waiting for you to wear it. Gold has been the shade to don on the runway and in real life. Lancome, MAC and Givenchy have all created summer collections around the metallic hue.
Here are a few of my favorite things - gold edition:
Lancome Juicy Tubes Pure in Bare Honey - The perfect blend of golden sparkle and mega gloss. Very natural and wearable, compliments the summer gold color palette. Great to layer over a matte color although I wear mine alone for a subtle hint of iridescent, metallic magic. $18.00
Guerlain Terracotta Blush & Sun in Sun Kissed - An incredibly natural, bronzed goddess blush beaming with shimmer. The color is part apricot, part tan. Compliments most summer complexions. $41.00
MAC Golden Honey Collection Highlight Powder in Golden Nectar (available June 11)- A muted golden tan with gold shimmer that gives the face an extra burst of bronze. The pearlized consistancy makes htis product the perfect choice for highlighting cheeks, brow, shoulders — anywhere you desire a little extra bling. $24.50
Dior Bronze Sun Powder Spray in Bronze Tan - Hair-crazed Jenny introduced me to this product and she swears by it. The color is the most even-hued bronze without a hint of orange. I love that you see results immediately. The color you spray is the color you get. Not too much, but just enough gold to give you that sun-kissed glow. $60.00
Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour in Gold - This cream shadow offers a wash of shimmer. The metallic pearl, taupey gold hue looks great alone or paired with an additional shimmering shadow - perhaps something a bit darker like Burnished Copper, a taupey bronze red. I have brown eyes and the gold pearl fragments really make the yellow in my peepers pop. I apply a thin black liner and some mascara and I'm good to go. $22.00
