Summer Moisture: Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra-Gel

A common misconception is that you don't need to hydrate your skin in the summer months. FALSE. Skin always needs moisture. Period. While it may not need the same heavy duty moisturizers you use during winter -- those can go into hibernation with cashmere sweaters and knee high boots -- it still needs a bit of, shall we say, a refreshment.

That's why I'm loving the Amore Pacific line. I love it as my winter moisturizer and I now love it as my summer moisturizer too! The Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra-Gel is a weightless, light, oil-free gel-cream texture that leaves skin refreshed, balanced and hydrated.

The consistency is the most amazing part. It feel cool and refreshing on the skin and leaves the face soft and glowing. A little goes a long way so no need to overdue. As per all of the Amore Pacific products, the smell is so fresh and inviting, it leaves your face feeling fresh and completely revitalized. This product can be used on all skin types, even oily skin tones (yes, oily skin still needs moisture!).

A word (or several...) from the company:

"Bamboo sap, revered throughout the ages as "divine water," is rich in minerals that stimulate the skin, amino acids that boost hydration, and sacharrides that energize skin cells. Used in lieu of distilled water. BioGF1K Complex™, a patented red ginseng complex, delivers the most active compounds of red ginseng which can be absorbed by the skin; provides antioxidant protection against free radicals and anti-aging benefits which boost elasticity and firmness."

A favorite among makeup artists to prime the skin before makeup application, Glee's Lea Michele is also a fan. She was just spotted receiving a facial in the Amore Pacific Beauty Gallery & Spa in Soho. I've had a facial there too, and let me tell you, it's phenom. If you're in the market for a little pick-me-up, try an Amore Pacific facial. Your skin will never look more radiant.
