Hipster Heaven: Club Chrissie - Get Familiar

How cool is this? 

My NYC Friends are posing it up in April's Paper Magazine, featuring Club Chrissie!

What is Club Chrissie, you ask? "When there's nothing else to do, I make my own club. I have bottle service, loud music and models - okay, maybe just Jessica Stam," jokes Chrissie Miller of Sophomore clothing, founder of the faux club. It's actually her LES loft-apartment which was dubbed Club Chrissie by hipster extraordinaire, Cory Kennedy, who often crashes at the pad while in NYC.

Chrissie is one of my BFF's and her club is one of my most favorite NY hot spots.

They're trying to make it the go-to destination for fashion (considering that everyone has moved over to facebook for social networking)... and I've gotta say, they're kicking ass! Foot For Thought...

Just left Nordstrom's Hosiery Department and stumbled across the funniest waste of money - Foot Perfume!

Foot Petals Sweaty Pedi is a foot fragrance (lavender-vanilla) for nasty, fungus feet! Although the name is adorably rhyming, at $18.95 a bottle, why not just douse your toes in your favorite perfume (one that you ALREADY own) - or how about a fragrant lotion (one you use for your body too)? Do we really need an individual fragrance for our feet?

In these crazy economic times, isn't a foot fragrance a bit over-the-top?

Random Musings...

"Hell hath no fury like an ego scorned..."

My friend Tessa blurted this out at dinner tonight and I thought it was the most genius and poignant sentence ever uttered. Of course, it's a take on Shakespeare's famous, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" quote, but seriously, an ego is so much trickier then a woman!

What does this have to do with beauty, you ask? Well, words strung together to create powerful and moving sentences is just about the most beautiful thing on earth! Not to mention great cocktail conversation-starters when you're looking all decked and gorge in your stylish outfit and sexy makeup!
