I am so excited about this color line. For a couple of years now, I've heard loud whispers about the magic of Jouer Cosmetics from makeup artists friends, models and actresses alike (remember Troy Jensen recommended the white highlighter as part of the "white eye done right" post...). Seriously, this line has an industry cult following.... and I finally understand why!
Jouer started in 2004 as the beauty-child of Christina Zilber. It's a customized color line with compacts that connect together to form your own personalized palettes. With a new package design (deep chocolate casing - compacts still connect) and a relaunch (August), Jouer is back - expanded range of colors and better then ever!
It's a full line ranging from lip glosses and pencils to blushes and eye shadows (both cream and powder), but the creme de la creme is really the multi-purpose highlighters! Offered in 3 colors - camellia (pearly white), tiare (shimmering gold) and champagne (shimmering golden champagne), the highlighters are lightweight, cream, work on all skin tones, and instantly illuminate cheekbones, eyes, brow bone, chest - anywhere and everywhere you want a little extra pop! I've tried all 3 and I love them equally. If I was forced to either choose one or have my first born taken from me, I'd choose camellia... and champagne! I can't just choose one because they look SO good blended together (good thing I don't have kids)!
Other products that I love:
The powder eye shadow (16 total) in pistachio - yep, you guessed it - an incredible shimmery forest green color with specks of gold. It looks SO gorgeous on the eyes (and stays on all night long - even after dancing to Justin Timberlake jams for hours on end).
I'm also a fan of the glosses (15 in total) - not too shiny, definitely not gooey, and jam packed with vitamins, shea butter, jojoba oil and pomegranate seed oil to soothe and moisturize. All of the colors are so brilliant - really wearable, sexy shades. But I adore shell - a shimmery, barely-there peach that goes perfectly with a dark eye.

Alas, a wearable, beautiful, non-trendy color line with stunning basic hues for all skin tones! And, to think, just in time for Fall....
