Van Cleef Does Feerie

Who doesn't love a little Van Cleef & Arpels? Those clover pendants are like a New York City socialites calling card! A status symbol for the semi-rich and quasi-fabulous.

Well, if their jewelry is a little out of your budget, you can still own a piece of Van Cleef with their newest fragrance, Feerie.

Not surprising coming from a jewelry line, the bottle is stunning (I'm loving the intricate silver top), but what is surprising is that I actually like the scent! I was expecting something that smelled musky, something ultra rich - something my grandmother would wear. But this perfume is much more modern than matronly... dare I say, hip!

The overall scent is light and sweet with a lingering floral aroma. Think the love child of Thierry Mugler's Angel perfume and the Michael Kors perfume.

Top Notes are violet, blackcurrant and Italian mandarin.
Heart Notes are Bulgarian rose and rose and Egyptian jasmine.
Base Notes are Iris butter (no idea what that is) and Haitian vetiver (some kind of wood).

PRICE TAG: $110.00 for 50ml (available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Van Cleef & Arpels boutiques).
