MORE Holiday Hair Trends

We've received a ton of emails expressing our readers' desire for more Holiday hair ideas! Well, you ask, we answer!!!

We already told you about the messy updo (click here for a refresher), but now we're bring you 3 more do-it-yourself hair styles, perfect for those Holiday parties.

From the trendsetting lips of celebrity stylist, Jen Atkin:

THE HEADBAND
"This works for long or short hair. It instantly dresses up a do and can compliment a great party dress. For the holidays, I suggest putting a loose wave into your hair - tight curls will take away from the headband. If you have mid length hair, blow it out and wear it pencil straight with a headband. I love the Jennifer Behr headbands.

THE BRAID

Easy to get stubborn bangs your growing out, out of your way! Put pomade in your bangs to keep flyaways in place. Take a nice deep side part or middle part and do a braid from part to ear. Secure the end with a small bobby pin and toss the rest of your hair into a messy bun or for a more formal look, a tight chignon.

SHORT HAIR
For girls growing out a bob and feel stuck....get a 1/2 " barrel iron or a waving iron (my fave is Vidal Sassons waving iron) and create a holiday look by just adding curl. "

Let us know if you decide to rock any of these styles!

And, as always, thanks to Jen!

I am a headband fanatic who's found an awesome site, www.andreasbeau.com, which offers the most beautiful hair ornaments I've found anywhere. The ones I've bought are not only gorgeously made and comfortable, but they are also affordable. Check them out as another source for this great trend!
